Anti-Bullying Week

This week Pine Class have been taking part in Anti-Bullying Week with the theme of 'Reach Out'. We designed our own 'Reach Out School' with safe and happy spaces for children to learn and play. We talked about bullying scenarios and what we can do to help someone or who we would talk to if anything happened to us. All the children signed a pledge at the end of the week saying what we can do to 'Reach Out' and stop bullying. We also loved seeing everyone's odd socks!

World Book Day!

Wow, what a day! Every child looked amazing and embraced the day. The children took part in a range of activities, which involved our wonderfully talented author, Sarah Oliver.

One of the tasks was to write a biography of a famous person. Take a look at some of the examples below. They also got a chance to read, visit the school library and see year 3 all dressed up too. Thank to all parents for providing the costumes and celebrating this special day.

Potato Update!

We have been using our disciplinary knowledge in Science today, by observing our potatoes and seeing what changes have occurred. Here are some pictures of your scientists in action, observing that hair-like roots have grown, there are sprouts and shoots coming up, some mould has grown on the bottom of the roots and we think there might be some clones appearing!
